The GREMAN is a joint laboratory run by the INSA Centre Val de Loire and Tours François-Rabelais University, associated to the CNRS.

The team at the INSA Centre Val de Loire Acoustics and Piezoelectricity Unit conducts work on the use of ultrasound for industrial (such as non-destructive testing and flow measurement) or medical applications (such as ultrasonography), as well as on piezoelectric devices and materials – especially sensors, actuators and transducers.
The team has developed expertise in nonlinear acoustics and characterisation of complex materials, and carried out work on energy recovery and conversion systems.
