Equality and Inclusion
True to its vocation as an engineering school guided by humanism, INSA Centre Val de Loire has made equality and inclusion key priorities in its development
Equality
INSA CVL is committed to providing a respectful, safe and egalitarian learning and working environment for the whole of its community, students and staff alike. This means taking a firm stand against any form of harassment, discrimination or violence, whether physical, verbal, psychological or sexual.
The school actively promotes gender equality and combats all forms of discrimination, true to the fundamental values of higher education.
The policy comprises three main focus areas:
- Prevention: regular training and awareness-raising for the entire community (students, staff, teachers)
- Protection: setting up listening and support systems for victims
- Action: rapid and confidential handling of alerts, implementation of appropriate measures
This commitment is put into practice through the work of two gender equality officers (contact details below).
More particularly, it involves working with the France Victimes network in Blois and Bourges, which can help listen to victims and support them.
Together, let's make INSA CVL a place of respect, equality and peace of mind for everyone!

Inclusion
Giving all talents access to outstanding training
Opening up to a diverse public is a core part of INSA CVL policy. One of the school's priorities is to give young people with disabilities access to engineering training, with the same requirements and ambitions for their studies and professional integration.
Welcoming students with disabilities
A disability adviser is appointed on each campus (Blois - Bourges) of INSA Centre Val de Loire. Their role is to ensure that the Law of 2005 is applied so that all students can flourish in an appropriate environment. In particular, the adviser is responsible for organising the curriculum and examinations.
Examples of teaching arrangements (non-exhaustive list):
- Staggered course duration (1 course year spread over 2 years or 2 years over 3 years)
Special arrangements for language classes, physical and sports activities, and practical work
- Course material in digital format
Technical aids:
- Use of adapted equipment in lessons
Equipment loans: computers for exams, touch-screen tablets, noise-cancelling headphones, etc.
- Appropriate teaching aids
Human assistance:
- Course note-takers
- Tutoring by a peer or teacher

Make your situation known so that INSA Centre Val de Loire can make any necessary adjustments in advance
When applying to the INSAs, it is important to make yourself known so that you can benefit from a tailored range of services, and to make it easier for us to put specific arrangements in place.
Student Health Ambassadors (ERS)
The ERS are INSA CVL students who are recruited and trained each year by the university health service to inform their peers and refer them to health professionals, if necessary. They take part in prevention by and for students through projects, and run activities (stands, workshops, etc.) to get people talking and facilitate discussion on a wide range of subjects (risky behaviour in the evenings, diet, sexuality, etc.).
Students play an active role in raising awareness
Every year, the INSACTIFS student association organises awareness-raising activities (handisport, meals in the dark, handimanager training, etc.) on the theme of professional integration for people with disabilities.
